Meet the Founders.
This project was founded by Siddharth Vinod, Goutam Kanamarlapudi, and Vedanth Balaji after a local student was involved in a crash caused by poor street lighting. What started as a reaction to a preventable accident quickly turned into a focused effort to improve road safety in their own community. Driven by the belief that better infrastructure can save lives, the team set out to design a smarter, more responsive lighting system that addresses both safety and energy efficiency in a practical way.
The Idea.
This streetlight prototype uses laser technology to detect oncoming vehicles and activate only when needed, reducing energy waste while improving driver safety. What sets it apart is its simplicity and impact—it’s cost-effective, easy to implement, and among the first models to apply laser detection to urban lighting. By combining efficiency with real-world practicality, it offers a scalable solution to both energy conservation and safer roads.
